What procedures can be done with the laser?

  • Laser Assisted Bacterial Reduction: reduces the amount of bacteria harbored within infected gum tissue pockets (periodontal pockets).
  • Laser Assisted Periodontal Therapy (LAPT): targets and destroys bacteria but also removes diseased tissue from gum tissue pockets (periodontal pockets)
  • Gum reshaping: if your gums have overgrown due to medications or your teeth are covered by too much gum tissue, we can perform a gingivectomy for esthetics.
  • Whiten teeth: the light can help whiten your teeth.
  • Remote growths: the laser can surgically remove growths in your mouth.
  • Frenectomy: if you have frenulums that are causing impaired speech or recession we can use the laser to remove them.
  • Tongue tie: especially for infants or small children, using the laser means no or only minor bleeding. As well as only minor pain after a tongue tie release.
  • Relieve pain from cold sores/aphtous ulcers: the laser stimulates healing and decreases pain.
