I have been working here since 2002. Prior to returning to school and earning my degree in Dental Hygiene, I had a career in medicine as a Surgical Tech. I consider myself very thorough and dedicated and try to let my enthusiasm rub off on my patients as much as possible. I love working with everybody here. We get along great and really come together as a team to give all of our patients the best possible care and experience.
I am married and have three terrific adult children that keep me very busy! I live on a lovely farm in western Frederick County where I get to enjoy spending time with my horses and all of my farm animals.
I was born and raised in Winchester, Virginia and graduated from James Wood High School. I have worked as a dental hygienist for many years at different offices but when I joined this practice in 2004, I immediately knew I had found the place where I belong. The most important part of my job is educating and helping my patients understand the importance of good oral health. The thing that I enjoy the most here at this clinic is working with such great teammates. Everybody here makes working and going to the dentist so much more enjoyable.
I am married with two grown sons and several grandchildren – too many to count. I truly enjoy my family and all of their activities keep me very busy!
I have been a dental hygienist for 17 years. Previously, I was a registered respiratory therapist. I strive to make patients feel relaxed while providing knowledge towards their oral care needs.
My husband and I reside in Middletown, VA. We enjoy exercise, traveling, skiing and outdoor activities. I love to escape to the Rocky Mountains of Colorado.
I am originally from Kernersville, NC, but moved to Virginia in 1996 with my mom, dad, and younger brother. I graduated from Shenandoah High School and then went into dental assisting. I have 12 years of experience as a chairside dental assistant and joined this office in 2014. I love to have fun with my patients and get to know them and their families. People are often nervous going to the dentist and I love making them laugh to calm them down. When people leave with a happy smile, I know we did a good job!
When I am not in the office I enjoy being outside at the lake, riding four-wheelers and playing with my dogs. I also enjoy cooking.
I was born and raised on a beautiful farm in Shenandoah County and I always felt at home here in the Valley. In the spring of 2014, I decided to join the team bringing with me over 30 years of experience. Despite all of my experience, dentistry is constantly changing and here I get to stay up to date with the newest treatments and equipment – there is never a dull moment. I also truly enjoy helping patients achieve and maintain the best possible dental health.
I have three wonderful, adult children, and two marvelous granddaughters. Spending time with my family is extremely important to me. We all enjoy travelling together, going someplace new each year! I also enjoy shopping, bargain hunting, and dining out.
I have always been very close with my family and spending time with them is a priority. Before I started working at Smiles of Virginia, I worked closer to DC but I wanted to get back to the small town family atmosphere. I enjoy being able to treat our patients like our family while getting to work with a great team. I always feel good referring family and friends here because I know we provide our patients exceptional dental care that ends on a positive note.
I am happily married loving my fur-child, Ripley, the Italian Greyhound. In my spare time I also try to use my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree doing commissioned artwork including oil paintings and pencil/charcoal drawings. Dentistry is where art and science meets so this profession is a perfect match for me.
I was born in Globe, Arizona and graduated from Apollo College in 2007. I then worked for a number of years at the same dental office in Arizona before we moved to Berkeley Springs, WV. I knew I wanted to work in a clinic that puts patients first and always goes the extra mile. I feel like Smiles of Virginia gives me that opportunity. I also enjoy working with different people from many walks of life and getting to know their background to allow myself to help them as best as possible – whether it be helping them understand their treatment plan or lending them a hand during dental work to help them relax.
I have 3 kids and an awesome hubby that I spend most of my spare time with. We all enjoy the outdoors, hiking and playing music together. I adore my family and enjoy anything that allows me to spend time with my kids.
I was born and raised in Winchester, VA and have been proud to call this my home. I will mainly be helping with checking you out, answering insurance questions and making sure everything with your appointment went well. I have my associate’s degree in Business and I have always enjoyed working with people.
In my spare time I enjoy being with my 3 girls who keep me very busy. We enjoy gardening and canning together. My husband and I enjoy volunteering and going to concerts together.
I am probably the first person you will see as you enter the front door. I will greet you, make you feel welcome like it was your own home, and help you with necessary paperwork. And whether you are a new patient or have been with us for many years, I take pride in making you feel like you are part of our family right away. Each patient is unique and I always love hearing about their lives since their last visit.
I am married and have a grown daughter with the sweetest toddler grandson – if you want to see pictures to prove it, I will happily show you! I enjoy spending time with my family and church activities. I also love my two cats very dearly.
I have worked at Smiles of Virginia since 2004 and I consider this the most stimulating job I have ever had. I love the organizational challenges and the great opportunity I have been given to help patients. My favorite part of my job is seeing our patients leave satisfied, happy and excited about their experiences here. We treat our patients like family and always try to do the right thing.
I consider myself the quintessential “local girl”. I was born in Winchester to local parents; educated at James Wood High School and Lord Fairfax Community College; and I have maintained a lifelong involvement with area churches, businesses and social institutions. I also married my husband “local boy” Rob Symons, on the 4th of July in 1981; and we have maintained our residence, along with our son Kyle, on our family property in Frederick County. I often joke that I somehow seem to be related to everybody in Winchester. I always volunteer during Apple Blossom and have headed the festival’s float committee so you will likely have seen me at some point if you have ever attended Apple Blossom.
