I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Iowa College of Dentistry. This is the only Dental School in the U.S. that offers programs in all dental specialties. Since graduation I have been working with both children and adults – treating patients of all ages. The children have always had a special place in my heart, and I very much enjoy getting kids to feel great about their teeth and going to the dentist. I also enjoy working with people who have anxiety or nervousness associated with dentistry. Practicing dentistry allows me relieve people of dental pain and help them feel good about their smiles.
I grew up on a small farm on the Iowa/South Dakota border where we had cattle, alfalfa, and loveable pets such as dogs and cats. I have always enjoyed being around animals and the outdoors. In my spare time I enjoy reading, running, and other outdoor activities such as hiking and biking. I love food and I have learned to bake but I am lucky enough to enjoy the excellent food that Dr. Oestervemb cooks!
I am very excited to get out into the community in Winchester. I hope to volunteer at the local schools and organizations to get to know people and help them grow in their dental knowledge. We love to see and explore new places. So when you visit, please feel free to share any great restaurants, hikes, or vacation recommendations!
